About Me

Hi, I’m La’Bria Nicole — a digital creative who sits at the intersection of design, strategy, and storytelling. I help organizations (and soon more small businesses + creatives) turn ideas into thoughtful, user-centered digital experiences.

Right now, I serve as the Assistant Director of Web & Digital Communications for the University of Tennessee System, where I guide UX improvements, oversee major site updates, and make data-informed decisions about how people navigate and interact with our content. My work focuses on clarity, accessibility, and creating experiences that feel effortless for the user.

My background blends graphic design, web strategy, and digital communication, supported by a BFA in Graphic Design, a Master’s in Strategic & Digital Communication, and a Google Digital Marketing & E-commerce certificate. In practice, this means I think visually and strategically — balancing brand, content, and user needs in everything I build.

I love simplifying complex ideas, shaping narratives, and creating systems that make digital spaces feel intuitive, beautiful, and human.

What I’m Great At

The skills I bring into every project:

  • Web & UX Strategy: structuring pages, improving flows, organizing content
  • Brand & Visual Design: crafting visuals that feel intentional and on-message
  • Digital Communication: clarity-focused writing, content decisions, messaging alignment
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: translating between creative, technical, and leadership teams

Highlights I’m Proud Of

A few moments that shaped my work and approach:

  • Leading key aspects of our UT System web redesign, from IA to redirect mapping
  • Designing the Grand Challenges website — winner of a TCPRA Bronze Award
  • Co-leading redesigns that won Gold for both the UT Alumni website and the Campus Guide page
  • Supporting system-wide accessibility efforts and improving editor experience through training
